John Krasinski Breaks Down the Origins of the Monsters
In a recent interview, John Krasinski, the director of A Quiet Place, revealed some fascinating details about the origins of the monsters in the film. Krasinski explained that he was inspired by the Demogorgons from Stranger Things, as well as the Death Angels from A Quiet Place. "I wanted to create a creature that was both terrifying and sympathetic," Krasinski said. "I think we succeeded in doing that."
A Quiet Place vs. Stranger Things
The monsters in A Quiet Place and Stranger Things share some similarities. Both are humanoid creatures with sharp teeth and claws. They are also both attracted to sound. However, there are also some key differences between the two creatures. The Death Angels are much faster and more agile than the Demogorgons. They are also more intelligent. The Demogorgons are essentially mindless predators, while the Death Angels are capable of strategy and planning.
The Xenomorph Influence
Krasinski also revealed that he was influenced by the Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise when creating the monsters in A Quiet Place. "I love the way the Xenomorphs are designed," Krasinski said. "They're so sleek and deadly. I wanted to create something that was similar in terms of its aesthetic, but also different in its own way."
The Death Angels in A Quiet Place share some similarities with the Xenomorphs. Both creatures have a hard exoskeleton and a long, whip-like tail. They are also both capable of climbing walls and ceilings. However, the Death Angels are much larger than the Xenomorphs, and they have a more humanoid appearance.
